I am surprised that the selection of Eddie Murphy as the host of the Academy Awards didn't get much play. I think, just like me, a lot of people just are not sure how to feel about it.
It could be great if the Eddie Murphy from Saturday Night Live or Shrek shows up.
It could be awful if the Eddie Murphy from Raw, Norbit or the guy who stormed out of the Oscars when he lost Best Supporting Actor for Dreamgirls shows up.
We know he can sing from Dreamgirls or his hit record Party All The Time. Okay, so we know he can sing from Dreamgirls.
WBut if Eddie Murphy can check his ego at the door, this could be great for him and for Oscar viewers.
