Haven't you learned anything form the consequences over the Norquist "Tax Pledge"?
We don't need another gimmick, and yes, this is a gimmick, to change the way business is done between the parties in Congress. Change has occurred at the ballot box for more than 230 years. 'Forcing' people to sign a pledge to eliminate the defecit or else is a populist idea that won't solve the deficit issue, a problem that has been 50 years in the making.
The Norquist pledge has helped to completely polarize congress.
