Brooklyn Mom Slashes Baby Boy, Then Stabs Herself

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WPIX)—
A 5-month-old baby boy is fighting for his life after his mother slashed him in the neck, then stabbed herself in the leg, police say.

Officers were called to a home on East 38th Street in East Flatbush early Sunday.

The boy is being treated at Kings County Hospital, where he's listed in serious condition.

His mother, 29-year-old Tineka Johnson, was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She's also being treated at Kings Couty for the self-inflicted stab wound.
