NEW YORK - (WPIX) - Calvin Klein is at it again! A new, eye-popping ad has even got people in the uber-trendy neighborhood of SoHo, just a tad uneasy.

The underwear ad shows a sweaty Eva Mendes in sheer lingerie tugging at a muscled man's boxer briefs. The billboard -- located at Houston and Lafayette streets -- is just one of a handful of sultry displays.

It has drawn mixed reactions from folks who live and work in the area. Others are concerned about exposure to children. "As much as I love advertising, it's gonna cause an accident. It's just right over the top," said Manhattan resident, Carols Manuel.

Calvin Klein has a long history of suggestive advertising campaigns. The company pulled an orgy-themed ad in June, after taking heat from neighbors and a Christian advocacy group. It showed a teenage girl in a menage a trois with two young men. And who could forget a then-pubescent Brooke Shields in that 1981 television and print campaign suggestively cooing:"Nothing Gets Between Me And My Calvins"

A Calvin Klein TV ad featuring Mendes was banned in the U.S. last year.
