Nanny Accused of Swiping $30K in Jewelry From Employers
A Greenburgh nanny has been arrested for allegedly swiping $30,000 worth of jewelry from two of her employers.

Latisha Staten is accused of stealing assorted cash and jewelry from two houses in the Mayfair Acres section of Greenburgh.

Anna Regan, one of the alleged victims, apparently went to extreme lengths to solve the case. She said Staten, who worked at her home for more than three years, also babysat for her friend Lisa McGee.

When McGee's engagement ring suddenly went missing, the pair immediately suspected Staten. After visiting a few pawn shops in the area, they ultimately found McGee's ring, along with Staten's name on the pawn slip.

Staten reportedly surrendered to police at her home on Thursday.

She has been charged on two counts of felony grand larceny and faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
