Cops Identify Homeless Hero Killed After Rescuing Woman
Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax has been identified as the 31-year-old Hispanic homeless man who lost his life trying to save a female stranger from being assaulted, according to New York City Police.

This past Sunday morning at 88 Road and 144th Street, Tale-Yax stopped a male suspect from trying to attack a female on the street, police said. However, the suspect ended up fatally stabbing Tale-Yax multiple times in the torso.

The female victim was able to flee the scene during the fatal attack.

Police have been searching for the suspect described as 5'6", medium build, who was last seen wearing a green short sleeved shirt and dark pants with a green hat. Cops say he fled the scene armed with a knife.

Investigators are also looking for the female victim who is described as 5'3", thin build, wearing a 3/4 length jacket and a skirt.
