Report: Cigarette Causes 4-Alarm NJ House Fire
Four people in New Jersey were injured after a four-alarm fire broke out in Linden.

Firefighters responded to reports of people trapped in a multi-family home at 517 East Prince Street.

One of the residents sustained serious injuries when family he tried to put the fire out himself, officials said. He was rushed to St. Barnabus Hospital in serious condition.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get the flames under control.

The homeowner, Kim Bridgewater told PIX News that she rented the home to family members.

Investigators are now looking into reports of someone alleged to have been smoking a cigarette in bed.
