Livery Driver Gets 15 Years For Raping Passenger

A livery cab driver has been sentenced to a 15-year prison term for raping one passenger and attempting to rape another within a 40-minute span.

Torkieh Sadagheh, 30, did all he could to withdraw his guilty plea before being sentenced Tuesday. According to reports, Sadagheh cried, berated the judge and even attempted to switch attorneys.

However, despite Sadagheh's efforts, a judge noted that he had in fact admitted to the February 2008 crimes when he pleaded guilty in August and had previously been warned he couldn't rescind the plea.

Sadagheh's is accused of picking up two 23-year-old women in consecutive trips to the same strip club, where one of them was reportedly a dancer.

The first managed to escape out a passenger door as Sadagheh apparentlyt tried to force himself on her. According to police, the second victim was assaulted in the back seat.
