Cops: LI Man Steals from Foundation that Helped Sick Son
Robert Skinner is accused of stealing $1,500 dollars from the Make-A-Wish Foundation after the charity paid for an all expenses vacation to Hawaii to fulfill a wish for his son who has cancer.

The foundation says Skinner used information on a check they provided to him for spending cash, to tap into a Make-A-Wish account.

"We have a responsibility to our donors that we take very seriously," Karine Hollander of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, told PIX 11 News. "We have controls in place to detect anything like this that could happen."

Skinner was charged with grand larceny and possession of a forged instrument, when he was pulled over by Suffolk Police for driving a stolen car. In addition, he was also charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
