MAHWAH, N.J (WPIX) -
New Jersey police have arrested a man who they say exposed himself to a woman and her two-year-old daughter inside the parking lot of a daycare center in Mahwah.
The alleged incident took place Wednesday, inside the Ramapo Shopping Center, police say. The woman told police the man fled the scene in a black pick-up truck with Maryland plates. A few minutes later, police tracked down Oney Solis-Mendez, 30, inside the truck at a nearby house on Island Road.
Solis-Mendez later admitted to authorities that he masturbated while sitting in his truck as the woman was taking her child to the daycare center.
According to police, Solis-Medez was charged with lewdness, a fourth-degree offense, and driving with a suspended license. He is expected to be in municipal court in Mahwah on Tuesday.
