It was business as usual tonight inside the Hair Mystique beauty parlor on 84th Street near 20th avenue in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. While outside unfolded a mysterious police investigation.

NYPD Crime Scene Investigators dusted for prints on a white BMW surrounded by police tape, and they looked for bits of evidence on the sidewalk after a vicious fight erupted sending one man to the hospital in critical condition.

Henry Tang runs the laundromat across the street. He told PIX News that he saw a huge commotion around 530 this evening and saw a man, apparently of Indian descent, seemingly knocked out cold on the ground. Neighbors tell PIX News he'd been attacked by one or two men.

PIX News went here to the victim's apartment on 84th street, where earlier detectives questioned the victim's roommate.

According to his roommate the victim's first name was 'Jayanth' a man in his thirties. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital after the vicious assault.

Right now the motive for the attack remains unknown.

His roommate says 'Jayanth' lost his job at the local KFC two months ago; but it's unclear if that had anything to do with today's violence.

So far, police aren't saying much of anything about what sparked this vicious daylight assault in front of the Bensonhurst Beauty Parlor, but people in the area talk about a suspect seen fleeing the scene.
