MANCHESTER, N.J. (WPIX)—
A domestic dispute in Manchester, NJ, turned deadly after a 43-year-old man pointed what appeared to be a gun at police.Manchester police received a call around 2 p.m. From a man who claimed he was being assaulted by his relative, 43-year-old Richard Nordstrom. Police arrived at Nordstrom's home to find the man in an unattached garage dousing himself with gasoline and holding a lighter.
Nordstrom reportedly complied with orders to drop the lighter, but then pulled out what officers believed was a firearm and pointed it at them. Police officers shot Nordstrom multiple times, killing him.
