A day after PIX 11 News aired a story showing the process reporter Greg Mocker went through to report and remove a stolen car, more neighbors are telling him about their issues.

The Toyota was reported stolen 10 months ago and neighbors say it has been parked on Glenmore Avenue ever since. Mocker reported it to 311 and city officials reported it to the nearest police precinct. However, more than 2 weeks later, the car was still there.

A spokesman for 311 sent Mocker an email reading, "Since June 1, 2010, there have been eleven (11) derelict vehicle complaints filed at 311 on Glenmore Avenue between Pine Street and Crescent Street. To contextualize that for you, 311 regularly receives 50,000 calls/day and more than 18 million/year; since June 1, 2010, 311 has received about 3.6 total calls. Abandoned vehicles on public property, with plates (which is the case here), are responded to by officers from the local police precinct when they are not handling emergency situations. (Abandoned vehicles on public property WITHOUT plates are to be tagged and removed by the Department of Sanitation.)"
