A series of eye-opening reports on a broken subway door that provided unfettered access to Grand Central has triggered a flood of email from people across the New York region to PIX 11 News reporter Greg Mocker.

"First of all, KUDOS for all of your excellent MTA reporting," wrote Steven from Manhattan. "Things have gotten REALLY bad riding the rails in NYC and your reporting, hopefully, will help the MTA to wake UP and start figuring out how to actually run a railroad!"

That was echoed by Garry who wrote this to Mocker: "Having been a New Yorker for 57 of my 64 years I find your articles on the MTA refreshing. That incompetence etc finally comes to light."

Other viewers have serious money matters on their minds. "I am an accountant, and get disgusted when I have to file the Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Mobility Tax Returns for my clients," wrote a person who identified themselves a "A FAN." "Most of them, and their employees, do not even use the MTA system, and yet they are being taxed on their entire payroll."

Even MTA employees are digging Mocker's reports. One who wished to remain anonymous wrote: "You are doing such a good job! I wish you had an hour long program! You are the best. Everybody in the crew room talks about you! I am your biggest fan!

Certainly, Mocker also received some angry email.

"I seen [sic] your story about the broken subway station door. Get a life. Who cares about the damn door except you. thats a free ride as far as im concerned," wrote a person who called himself "T from the bx."

Dan followed with this: "Are you a f-----g idiot? I don't like the MTA anymore than you do, but do you really think terrorists intent on inflicting harm on our subway system need to resort to unlocked exit doors? You don't think they can afford to pay the $2 fare to get into a subway station? Not to mention all the fare beaters that simply duck under turnstiles."
