Driver Commits Suicide Prompting Parkway Closure

MERRICK, N.Y. (WPIX) -- A standoff between New York State police troopers and an armed motorist forced the closure of the Meadowbrook State Parkway south of Merrick Road for about three hours on Tuesday, PIX News has learned.
