Britain's Prince Harry Plays Polo On Governors Island For Charity
NEW YORK, NY. (WPIX) - Prince Harry is following in his late mother's footsteps.

On Saturday, he played polo in New York City to raise money for a charity that supports AIDS orphans in Lesotho, Africa; Princess Diana devoted a lot of her time in support of people suffering from HIV, AIDS treatment, research and education.

On day two of his first official visit to the United States, the 24-year-old prince -- third in line to the throne -- visited Governors Island in New York Harbor, where he played in The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic.

The prince set up the charity with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, who also lost his mother at a young age. Before the match, Harry spoke of his mum, Princess Diana. The prince said his mother's love for New York City made his visit "all the more poignant."
