Officials in New Jersey are trying to track down what could be described as a serial robber with a love for ice cream and doughnuts.

In a matter of a week, the suspect - while armed with a gun - targeted at least five ice-cream shops. The Carvel on Main Street in Madison was first robbed last Wednesday. The suspect then hit an Ice Milan in the Whippany section of Hanover on Friday afternoon, police said.

Most recently, the Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts at the Livingston Mall was reportedly robbed Monday night - where the suspect first ordered a frozen drink before demanding cash. The suspect fled with over $1,000 in that case.

In each of the incidents, the robber handed over a threatening note and flashed a weapon.

Police say the suspect usually hits between 3 p.m.and 9 p.m., wears women's sunglasses and occasionally a Chicago Cubs baseball hat. He was last spotted leaving one robbery in a silver four-door Acura.

Anyone with information is urged to call their local authorities.
