EAST HARLEM, N.Y. (WPIX)—
New York police shot a 17-year-old in the arm early Monday after the teen began shooting at a uniformed police officer.The NYPD officer reportedly pursued the teen into a nearby building on East 135th St. to apprehend the suspect.
The officer was not injured.
It isn't clear what sparked the gunfire, and police haven't released how many shots were fired.
The teen is reportedly in stable condition at Harlem Hospital, and the investigation is ongoing.
