Teenagers Charged In Beating Death of NJ Man
Two teenagers have been charged in the beating death of a New Jersey man, authorities announced Wednesday.

The victim -- identified as 47-year-old Abelino Mazaniego -- was on a bench in the promenade off of Springfield Avenue on July 17 around 9:30 p.m. when he was reportedly approached by a group of teenagers.

Investigators say two teenagers -- 18-year-old Khayn Williams-Clark and an unidentified 17-year-old -- started the fight. So far, investigators say it appears the assault was unprovoked -- however an official cause is yet to be determined.

Williams-Clark was charged with manslaughter.

Mazaniego was rushed to Overlook hospital with severe head trauma. Officials said he died Tuesday.

Anyone with information regarding the attack is urged to contact Homicide Task Force Detective Patrick Bradley at (908) 527-4152 or Summit Police Department Sgt. Michael Rabasca (908) 277-9389.
