FAIR LAWN, N.J. (WPIX)—
Three teens were stabbed, and more than 10 others arrested after a late-night brawl in Bergen County. The fight, which may have involved up to 30 teenagers, was reportedly sparked by a girl.
Cops were called to a home in Fair Lawn at 0-23 Saddle River Road, just before 2 a.m. Saturday. The fight had spread to the length of three houses by the time cops arrived.
Those involved apparently ranged in age from 17 to 19.
Maor Azoulay, 18, of New York City, Arsen Musalaev, 20, of Fair Lawn, and Eduard Ostrovsky, 18, of Fair Lawn, were all taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for stab wounds. All three were treated and released.
Police believe the fighting started after two teens started arguing over a girl via cell phone. A short time later, one of the teens showed up at the Fair Lawn residence with a "posse." At one point, someone pulled a knife.
More than 15 other people were arrested on rioting charges.
"This was unusual," Fair Lawn Detective Cpt. Anthony Serrao told a local paper. "Sometimes you have a fight over a girl, you slug it out, that's the end of it. Having a knife changed it from a simple fight to a third degree aggravated assault."
