Ex-Domino's employee Jamal Thomas, 24, of the Bronx, was arrested for allegedly setting fires at two Domino's locations in the Bronx.

A former Domino's employee is in police custody after allegedly starting fires at two of the pizza chain's locations in the Bronx which resulted in over $1 million in damages and lost business, according to City Fire Marshals.

Jamal Thomas, 24, of the Bronx, was arrested Friday by Fire Marshals from the FDNY Bureau of Fire Investigation. Thomas is charged with multiple counts of arson, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, among other charges.

Thomas, who had reportedly been training to be an Assistant Manager at Domino's until he was fired for violating security protocols, is accused of setting two fires at two separate Domino's locations.

The fire fire was reported on Boston Road, in the Bronx, on Aug. 22. The second fire was reported on White Plains Road on Sept. 5.

Following his termination, officials say Thomas had returned several times to Domino's locations in uniform, claiming to be a member of a secret Domino's unit that measured employee satisfaction.

During the time of his arrest, Thomas was armed with a loaded .357 stainless steel revolver, Fire Marshals said.

"Arson is a crime that shows complete and total disregard for lives and property," said Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano. "I commend our Fire Marshals for removing a very dangerous man from the streets."

Authorities say Thomas could face up to 25 years behind bars.
