Women Busted For Four Loko Craigslist Scheme
Three women in Mahwah, NJ, were busted Tuesday for trafficking the banned caffeinated alcoholic beverage Four Loko on the Internet.

After noticing that Four Loko was still popping up in the area after having been yanked off shelves in December, police officers investigated and found ads on Craigslist for the "blackout in a can," police said.

Officers went online pretending to be buzz-hungry Ramapo College students, and ordered three cases of Four Loko at a street value of $335 -- %200 more than the retail price.

The officers arranged to meet the dealers near the Ramapo College campus, and handed over the cash to two women -- Stephanie Gomez, 21, and Johana Gonzales, 20. Detectives then moved in and arrested the two women along with a third woman, Gina Capardi, 23, who facilitated the sale and provided the delivery car, police said.

The women were charged with a fourth-degree crime of selling alcohol without a state license and were released from jail without bail. The are due in municipal court on Jan. 25 when they will face a maximum sentence of three years in jail.
