NEWARK (PIX11)—
A day after they stunned the New England Patriots with a 21-17 victory, the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants returned home to the praise of fans.The team's plane landed shortly before 2 p.m. Monday at Newark Liberty Airport.
In addition to being greeted by cheering fans who lined up along a barrier on the airport's tarmac, players and coaches were also honored with a fired water cannon as the plane taxied to a hangar.
The Giants are gearing up for a massive victory ticker-tape parade planned in Lower Manhattan Tuesday. An estimated 1 million people are expected to attend.
