JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WPIX)—
A Jersey City mother is dead and her infant seriously injured after both were brutally stabbed in their Jersey City home, authorities confirmed. The victims were found in the family's home at 100 Montgomery Street Tuesday afternoon.
A man, identified as the infant's father, called 911 after making the grisly discovery when he returned home from taking the couple's other child to school, police said.

The infant, believed to be between six and seven months old, was stabbed twice in the stomach. The baby was airlifted to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. His condition was not immediately known.
