Cops On The Hunt For Men Who Used Machete In LI Holdups
Long Island police are looking for a group of masked men who allegedly used a machete during three robberies in Hempstead this week, PIX 11 News has learned.

According to Nassau County detectives, the men robbed two 20-year old women of their handbags, a cell phone and a camera around 1:20 a.m. Friday on Front Street and Broadfield Road.

More than an hour and a half later, police say the same men struck again -- this time robbing a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man of cash and a cell phone on Fairview Boulevard.

On Monday, at about 11:35 p.m., the suspects allegedly took a handbag with a cell phone and personal papers from a 21-year-old woman at Hamilton Road and Roger Street.

No one was injured in the three incidents, according to authorities.
