White Plains Mayor May Resign
Rumors are swirling that embattled White Plains Mayor Democrat Adam Bradley may resign on Monday. This comes after Bradley was accused of abusing his wife for years and trying to cover it up. His wife, Fumiko Bradley, claims he's physically and emotionally abusive. She allegedly told police that in one incident, her husband deliberately closed a door on her hand, and in another incident he threw hot tea on her.

Bradley is expected in Westchester County Court on Monday. At that time, he is expected to receive a trial date. Bradley faces nine charges including harrassment, contempt and witness tampering.

Bradley's lawyers are confident that their client will be found not guilty. Prosecutor Audrey Stone said she would consider a plea deal if Bradley agrees to enroll in a domestic violence prevention class. But, Bradley declined, saying he's innocent and will be vindicated at trial.

According to News 12 Westchester, Bradley could possibly resign on Monday. But, a White Plains City Spokesperson says rumors that Bradley is resigning is false. "He continues to do the work he was elected to do."

If Bradley steps down, the City Council president would take over until a special election is held.
