TYREE ISLAND, GA (WPIX)—
Police say Mark McLeod was charged with criminal attempted stalking after he returned to the set on Tyree Island near Savannah Georgia, where the "Hannah Montana" star is filming, weeks after police warned him to stay away.
Tybee Island Police Chief Jim Price said Wednesday that McLeod was arrested after Disney security officers on the island learned that the obsessed, super fan was asking crew members where he could find Cyrus.
McLeod had been previously arrested by Tybee police on the movie set on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction. Police say he had tried to breach a security perimeter around the film set. McLeod told police after his arrest that he was secretly engaged to 16-year-old Cyrus. McLeod also reportedly told officials that he and Cyrus "were supposed to be together and they couldn't stop it."
