FLUSHING, N.Y. (WPIX)—
New York City's Department of Transportation is sending crew to inspect a road full of potholes in Queens. A group of neighbors contacted PIX 11's Greg Mocker after repeatedly calling 311 and talking with city leaders. The area is home to auto shops, industrial yards and the clubhouse for the Queensboro Motorcycle Club, which initially contacted Mocker.Mocker profiled the busy road in a report that aired Monday. Drivers use this stretch of 34th Ave at 126th Street to maneuver around the Grand Central Parkway. Plans for the area, which includes nearby Citi Field, call for extensive redevelopment. But neighbors feel city services have been neglected as discussions about plans have stretched on for years.
