JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WPIX) - A Jersey City Heights man was arrested after police say he ran a high-price call girl ring where he charged clients up to $3,500 an hour for services rendered by one of 40 models pictured on his website. Prosecutors also charge that the man also offered cocaine to clients.

Joseph Ruis, 43, of Jersey City Heights has been charged with promoting prostitution, being the leader of a narcotics distribution network, and money laundering, Hudson County Prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Law enforcement officers raided the offices of World Class Party Girls late Tuesday, setting off the building's alarm system in the process. Ruis apparently showed up to the offices to find out what was going on and was arrested at the scene.

Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said customers would either call the service or get in contact through the Web site and the models would be brought to an agreed upon location.

Defazio adds that the business was pulling in about $250,000 per month before it was closed down. In addition Ruiz had just opened the Kebab House restaurant in Hoboken.

Ruis appeared in court on Wednesday where his bail was set at $500,000 cash only.
