The ugliest rat in New York City has been crowned.

The Transport Workers Union, which represents subway and bus workers, sponsored a contest. The public was invited to submit photographs of subway rats. You can view the entries here: http://ratfreesubways.com/.

The winner of the contest, Michael Spivack, says he took the picture to show to coworkers who claimed never to have seen a rat in a subway station. He says snapped it at the 7th Avenue D station in Manhattan.
