New York City Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a young woman found wandering in Time Square. Officials say she has no idea who she is, or where she came from.

The female (photographed) was found without any ID two weeks ago outside the Covenant House shelter on West 41st Street.

The girl is believed to be between 14 and 17 years old and is about 5 foot 6 inches tall. She has blonde hair and green eyes.

The woman has written down the name "Amber" and responded to the name on several occasions. It's still unclear whether it is her actually her name. She has reportedly recalled words from a fantasy novel Fool's Fete by Robin Hobb.

Police and the Administration for Children's Services are working together to locate her family members.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS.
