  1. Moms Use Phone Sex To Supplment Income

    Mothers strapped for cash are increasingly taking jobs as phone-sex operators to support their families during hard economic times.
In fact, the number of mothers with young children pursuing phone-sex work increased by 400 percent in the past 18 months, according to ratracerebellion.com, a Web site dedicated to helping mothers find work-from-home jobs.
The woman who runs the Web site, Chris Durst, has been tracking the habits of working mothers for over 10 years. She said that after Labor Day, when children typically return to school, is when the number of women who search for phone-sex work. As for the extraordinary spike in interest in the field, Durst blames it on the economy.

    The 44th Annual West Indian-American Day Carnival (better known as the West Indian Day Parade) kicked off this Labor Day in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, once again this year. Festivities actually began on September 1st, and culminate in the Labor Day parade which runs form 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Eastern Parkway.
