  3. Facility Supervisor Charged In Strangulation Death Of Patient With Autism

    The parents of Jawara Henry, 27, tearfully praised the Richmond County District Attorney's office for bringing charges against Erik Stanley, 37, of Middletown, N.J in Henry's death last year.  The family also announced plans to file a civil lawsuit against the state-run institution where their autistic son died.   Henry died while being subdued by workers at the South Beach Psychiatric Center on Staten Island.

    After the events of September 11th, New Visions for Public Schools tapped BENT ON LEARNING to coordinate a yoga program to help children to heal and to manage post-traumatic stress. As a result, their small, volunteer program immediately swelled into 45 classes per week at 16 schools with 15 additional yoga teachers, reaching upwards of 1,000 students each week.
