In 2007, a report commissioned by the Maryland Stadium Authority recommended that the city find a replacement for the aging arena, especially if it wanted to attract a minor-league sports team. The report found that repairing the existing arena would be too costly. Seven groups are presenting plans, which include alternate locations, and the Baltimore Development Corp. may make its recommendation to the city by spring 2008.
