    How'd you like to pay less for that dress, or pay cheaper for sneakers? The state is now giving you a break, repealing the 4-plus sales tax on clothes and shoes with pricetags under $110. Last year, the state brought the sales tax back to meet a budget shortfall. It brought in more than $500 million, but now, shoppers will be the ones enjoying the extra cash.

    Queens commuters who take the E or F trains from three stations face nine consecutive days of no Manhattan-bound service starting Saturday. The affected stations are the ones at 75th Avenue,  Sutphin and Briarwood-Van Wyck boulevards. The Metropolitan Transit Authority says it's better the work be done all at once, rather than piecemeal over several months.
